BRITTANY SHAMY

ASTRID

This is Brittany Shamy's very first show with Pickleville Playhouse and she is overjoyed to be joining this incredible cast. Brittany has known her whole life that musical theatre is where she belongs so she studied Musical Theatre at Weber State University and spent most of her life training all over the country in as many camps, workshops, intensives and shows as she could get her hands on. She has been performing at the Desert Star Playhouse for the last two years, and appears in local movies and voiceovers. Brittany has also appeared Off-Broadway in New York City.

SHOUT OUT

I cannot thank my parents and siblings enough for the encouragement, love, and examples of goodness that they supply to me. I wouldn't get to do what I love without you. Huge thank you to Todd for the kindness and support, and the random and interesting facts about the Bush family. How did I get so lucky?!

CHRISTMAS FUN FACTS

What's your favorite Christmas tradition?

My favorite Christmas tradition is playing games with my family on Christmas eve. We are the most competitive family on the planet so it always ends with a great story. Another favorite is when my dad and I get to work on a puzzle together if we have extra time.

What's the most memorable Christmas present you've ever received?

Last year I got a signed photo of Leonard Nimoy. This was so special to me because he's the only one of the crew I didn't have on my painting with the Starship Enterprise on it.

What's your favorite holiday food?

Whatever I am eating at that moment.

If you could be one of Santa's reindeer, which would it be and why?

Oh, deer. I suppose I'd be Comet. Because then my house would always be clean. I'm also fawned of Vixen because he's up to snow good. Did I sleigh that question?

What's your favorite Christmas song and why?

I'll Be Home For Christmas because my dad used to travel a lot for work so it made me feel good to hear that song and know he'd be home for the holidays.

If you could work in one area of Santa's workshop, which would it be?

I'd help maintain the reindeer flying magic so I could take some home and make my Back To The Future Hover Board fly.

What's your favorite Christmas movie and why?

Die Hard. No explanation needed.

If you could have one thing for Christmas this year, what would it be?

Time Travel.
