Jennifer Ostermiller

This is Jennifer's first production with Pickleville Playhouse! She has a degree in violin pedagogy from BYU-Idaho, but currently lives in Logan with her husband and three adorable children. Jennie teaches 4th and 5th grade elementary school orchestra, as well as private violin lessons from home. One of her passions is playing for musical theater! She participated in pit orchestras during high school and college, and has recently played for productions with the USU Theatre Arts Department, as well. This is Jennie's first experience with Juanito Bandito, and she's excited (and maybe a bit apprehensive...) to see what all the fuss is about!

Thank you to my wonderful children and extremely patient husband for allowing me the chance to pursue my passions, too! Especially during a very busy Christmas season...

What's your favorite Christmas tradition?

Singing Christmas carols around the piano with the entire family on Christmas Eve. We all sing fairly well and can cover all four parts, and since we don't often get an opportunity for the entire family to sing together anymore, when we do it's a very special tradition.

Now that I have kids, my favorite part of Christmas is seeing how exciting and magical Christmas morning is for them!

What's your favorite holiday food?

Homemade marshmallows, gingersnaps, and stollen (a German sweetbread)!

If you could be one of Santa's reindeer, which would it be and why?

Rudolph, because I like to be in charge (of everything), and I'm usually the only one who can get things done right, dang it!

If you could have one thing for Christmas this year, what would it be?

For a hacker to go in and conveniently hit DELETE on all of my lovely student loans.
