Pickleville Workshops focus on four key areas:
Campers receive personalized training from a variety of Pickleville’s most experienced cast members and directors.
Throughout the week, we work on musical numbers and scenes that our campers will perform in their awesome end-of-week performance. Along the way, we do lots of fun musical theater exercises and games to introduce new skills and improve their singing, dancing, and acting abilities. Whether beginner or expert, our goal is for each camper to finish the week having learned something new and feeling more confident about themself. Each week ends with a group pizza party and end-of-week performance for family and friends. All campers will receive a Pickleville Workshop T-shirt as well as one complimentary ticket to Pickleville Playhouse’s The Little Mermaid.
The Audition Segment is an additional hour of instruction aimed specifically at preparing for auditions. Topics of focus include: choosing a song, cutting your selection, audition room etiquette, auditioning techniques, and making an impression. By the end of the week, each participant will have a polished audition piece, ready to go for his/her next audition. Each camper will also have the opportunity to perform his/her audition piece as a part of the end-of-week performance.
Campers will be split into groups according to age and experience on the first day of camp.
