Betsy is absolutely thrilled to be making her Pickleville debut! She is from Carmel, Indiana, and just earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University. A fun fact about Betsy is that she actually gets to share the stage this summer with her fiancé Jake Mickel, who she got engaged to in April. When she’s not on stage, Betsy loves playing Mario Party, going out for coffee, eating charcuterie, and watching Gilmore Girls. Philippians 4:6-7.
Nathan is excited to be back for his fourth season at Pickleville. After dropping out of clown college he decided that it was time to do some real soul searching to find himself. He ended up here, at Pickleville Playhouse, where he has discovered that he doesn't need clown college to make a fool of himself. He just needs a stage and people to laugh at him. In truth, he is very happy and excited for this opportunity and for another summer at Pickleville after spending a few years away. Enjoy the shenanigans. "If something is important enough, you should try, even if the probable outcome is failure."
Andrea has been involved with Pickleville since its beginning. She recently returned to the stage after a 30 year hiatus, performing alongside her kids and grandson as Grandma, in our last two renditions of The Addams Family. Andrea remembers peeling bark off of the logs that were used to build the theater and later nailing on the tin roof of the cookout while 9 months pregnant with Sharli, her 3rd child. When not working on things at Pickleville, she is busy loving kids and grandkids.
It’s been some amazing times to be a part of the visual department of Pickleville Playhouse for over 17 years. Bodie currently works full time at his own graphic/web/video/etc. design business (Bodwa Productions) he started 19 years ago. Every day is an exciting day! Bodie is happily married to his sweet better half and currently lives in Cedar City, UT. He is the father of 3 crazy fun kids, and has the privilege of being a bonus dad to two additional ones. He enjoys going to Disneyland with his family or a solving any fun, creative escape rooms they can find! If someone forces him, he will eat an occasional maple bar or 3.
Is it really summer already? Time flies when you're having fun! Since closing Addams Family last fall, Derek has spent most of his free time writing the show you may be about to see. He also enjoys traveling the world with his now family of four (25 countries and counting) and doing silly dances on Instagram with his talented wife, Whitley. You can check out their adventures @theglobetrotterfamily. Derek and Whitley are also the crazy couple behind "Pickleville Workshops" (Pickleville's insanely fun summer camps). Check out PicklevilleWorkshops.com for more information. Hope you enjoy the show!
Sharli is pumped to be back for another season, this time choreographing along side her little sister, Kenzie, who is making her directorial debut! She has had her hand in almost every Pickleville production as the head choreographer for the past 15+ years. She LOVES working with her siblings, creating magical stories and awesome entertainment for other families to enjoy together. Sharli and her husband Andy recently opened up a group fitness studio called The Studio in Logan, Utah. They have four beautiful daughters and a dog named Penny!
We are back, baby! So excited to create some awesomeness alongside some of my favorite people in the world. Whitley graduated from BYU with a degree in Music Dance Theatre in 2014. Hobbies include: bugging her husband, kissing her babies, baking treats, wrestling her puppy, traveling, and dancing awkwardly in public. For the last few years, Whitley and her family have been making fools of themselves while documenting it all on Instagram. Follow along on their crazy adventure: @theglobetrotterfamily.
